]]> God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit are at the heart of the Christian faith. I have struggled to understand how one divine entity can have three distinct personalities, but struggling to understand has enriched and deepened my appreciation of who God is and how he loves. A portion of this divine mystery is revealed in the passage below in Matthew 28.  I have painted a similar Trinity picture before, but wanted to paint a different design, using the skills I have developed since I painted the first one twelve years ago.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28 : 18-20

The greetings card has this verse on the back: “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2 : 7

I used a range of different techniques and tools to give a varied texture to the piece and used a muted palette of colours.
