]]> This beautiful scene greeted us as we sat on the balcony of the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel on a warm and still summer evening. The lake is beautiful in any season. On this evening, it seemed as if the world was holding its breath in awe. Pink and pale blue shifted to violet and indigo. The tower stood out against the pastel reflections of the sky. It was a magical scene.

]]> This oil painting was painted after a walk around Pagham Harbour in West Sussex at dusk. The harbour dries out at low tide and was beginning to empty. The purple cloud bank in the sky covered the evening sun, but its light reflected in the water. It was a peaceful and wonderful scene. Pagham is a nature reserve and home to many seabirds, especially over winter.
