Summer foxgloves looks lovely in its frame
It’s a while since “Summer foxgloves” was completed, but I finally took it to Tim at Frames for Homes, a local framing company. He has done a great job using a simple but classic wooden tray frame. I really like this style of framing, where there is a gap between canvas and frame. It gives the picture space and stops it feeling crowded by the frame.
I am pleased with the looseness of brush strokes in the painting, which gives a good impression of the tangled grasses and plants on the hillside.
