Your ways are higher, oil on canvas, £500 plus postage and packing

 

This painting is based on the verses in Isaiah 55: 8-9. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

An eagle has a completely different perspective on the world from his vantage point high in the sky. The picture reminds us that God’s thoughts and perspective on what we are going through are so much higher than our own.

The painting is oil on a canvas painted in a loose style, with a small amount of gold added in the sky. The canvas measures 50cm  by 40cm is painted around the edges. It is unframed.
