This painting is based on Isaiah 40 : 11 which says, “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”
“As I live in Mid Wales, sheep are an important feature of the landscape, and I have always felt drawn by the passages from the Bible which talk about the shepherd and his sheep. During covid, I read Isaiah 40 and wanted to convey some of the promises of God that I read in that chapter.” Sue

This is an oil painting on canvas, framed with a narrow gutter, then a slightly sloping profile, brushed gold frame. The painting is 40cm by 50cm and the framed dimensions are 61cm by 50.5cm.
