Description
“A sermon about Bartimaeus, the blind man healed by Jesus really brought this story to life for me. I imagined the scene and drew some inspiration from Rembrandt for the two main faces and the darkened nature of the background. The preacher described Bartimaeus as a professional beggar who was used to asking for food, money and help, but when Jesus came along, he recognised him as the Messiah and had the faith to ask for something he had never asked anyone else for- his sight!” Sue Newham
